First of all, this was my third year of playing biddy basketball. First year I didn’t sign up for Allstars, last year I made it, AND GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn’t make it this year. Got you goin’ didn’t I?!?! Well, I’m not too upset. I was in an older age group this year. Some of the better girls whose first year in this age group also made it, which I wasn’t surprised about. Another one of my friends didn’t make it either. It’s ok because we play on our school basketball team, too. And we’re pretty good. It’s divided into an A and B team. I am on the B team. The eighth graders and one sixth grader are on the A team, while the seventh and the rest of the sixth graders are on the B team. We’re all one team, but the B team plays one game and the A team plays another. The B team lost NO GAMES THIS YEAR and we played I think 5 games. The A team only lost one game. We’re pretty good! I also have a new favorite author. Her name is Lurlene McDaniel. She writes most books about teenagers with life-threatening illnesses and how they manage losing people close to them. Her books are mostly for kids my age and teenagers. But she also has books that my mom(hi mom!) would be interested in. She’s really good! I really don’t have much more things to write about tonight. But just slightly.

It really means Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, more commonly known as OCD. CDO is just OCD but with the letters in the right order.

Some examples of this from me, Mom, Cade, and Randi are:

1. When we pull the last paper towel off of the roll, we can’t leave it with the little pieces stuck to the roll. That will make a CDO person crazy.
2. When you go to the store to get some new shoes, you have to try on both, or else you will have terrible, terrible nightmares.
3. When a complete stranger’s T-shirt sleeve is folded upward, you are slowly dying inside, dying to yell FIX YOUR SLEEVE!!!!!
4. When you have many markers, the caps must all be in the same direction. No explanation needed. You get it.
5. On the clothes rack in your closet, the coat hangers must all be the same way.

6.  When you put your shoes on the floor, the right shoe can’t be on the left and the left shoe can’t be on   the right. Because when you are running late in the morning and you slip on your shoes and your feet are killing you and you don’t know why, it’s because you put your shoes the wrong way.

7. When you are walking up eleven stairs, you must step on the top step twice, so your feet are even. Same thing with your hands. But you don’t use your hands to go up stairs, unless you’re very weird, so I mean doorknobs or something of the sort.

8. If you have a desk where you can put many books or notebooks, they MUST all be the same way or ELSE. Or else what?…… Nothing. But it will annoy you.

Those are the main things OCD CDO people deal with.

 In more recent news, I am now in 6th grade. Most of you who read this know that, but if you don’t, that’s kinda creepy, cuz I probably don’t know you. Anyway, my teacher at the beginning in science and social studies was fired quit, so last week we got a new teacher. Turns out, my teacher who was fired quit, died by a drug overdose. Don’t know all the details, but I do know that for sure. In happier news, I got my laptop back two days ago, so that’s why I stopped writing until now. It was broken and in the shop. I started basketball again on Thursday with my first practice, so I’m excited about that. And, now that I’m in sixth grade, Cade’s in central, so I dont see him as much as I used to. YAY!!!!!!!!!!! Darn. Another thing that I think is important to say is I survived Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Ike hit Texas, but we still got winds and the power went out a couple of times, but nothing bad. For Gustav, Mom’s house was perfect, but Dad’s wasn’t as lucky. The big willow tree fell down, (sniffle) and the top half of a pine tree fell. That’s not too bad, cuz we have a bunch of them. A couple of branches off one tree in the back fell on our roof, but the damage isn’t bad at all. During Gustav, Cade, Dad, and me stayed at my aunt’s new and quite large house, surrounded by a bunch of pine trees. One pine tree cracked, and with a thunderous BOOM! it fell on the house. My aunt was FREAKING OUT. The damage wasn’t really bad though. That’s all I have to write for now. I think that mostly made up for all that time off. Penguin Place is….

  Great news! The stuffed penguin I got, Pippy, is the new Penguin Place mascot! When I comment on posts, Pip (short for Pippy) will show up! I’ll also try to get some more pictures of him on here.
